Guiding Futures. Empowering Communities.

About Project Disha

Project Disha is the flagship initiative of the Sudama Devi Bhagwan Das Jaiswal Foundation, created to bridge the gap between learning and livelihood. Rooted in our belief that education is the most powerful agent of change, Disha is more than a project—it’s a movement to prepare today’s youth for tomorrow’s challenges through education, mentorship, skills training, and empowerment.

Whether it’s a young student with big dreams, a woman ready to lead her household out of generational hardship, or a youth navigating uncertain career choices—Disha is their guidepost, their direction.

Our Approach

Project Disha is built on four foundational pillars:

🎓 1. Education & Skill Development

We deliver innovative courses and hands-on workshops that go beyond the textbook. From basic literacy to advanced tech, vocational skills, creative arts, and entrepreneurship—our programs are designed to make learning practical, relevant, and empowering.

👥 2. Career Guidance & Mentorship

One of the most impactful features of Disha is personalized mentorship. Our mentors work 1-on-1 with students and early professionals, helping them:

  • Identify strengths and interests

  • Plan realistic and inspiring career paths

  • Make informed decisions about education and employment

  • Stay motivated through challenges

💡 Impact So Far

  • 850+ students mentored across schools in just the first phase

  • ✅ Partnerships with educators, psychologists, and industry mentors to offer guidance

  • ✅ Launchpad for underprivileged youth to explore higher education and career goals

  • ✅ Strong community support in Kolkata and expanding across other districts
